The Rail Supply Group (RSG) intends a fresh, co-ordinated approach to increase exports and inward investment, working with our partners within the Industry, Rail Trade Bodies and Government (DIT, DfT and BEIS) to drive the exports agenda forward with our strategic partners.
Our goal is to develop UK capability so that export volumes will double by 2025.
To assist RSG, we have formed a new UK Rail Exports Leadership Group (ELG) that will provide the industry leadership via an industry-led approach and strategy.
Under the leadership of the ELG Chairman Andy Milner, CEO of Amey, the group will develop strategies based on a framework of activity that includes but is not limited to:
Working with the partnership, the ELG will further look to enhance the existing communications tools available to promote the UK rail sector overseas, enhance trade missions and exhibition support where relevant, and invest in ways that existing exporters and new to exporting companies can be better supported.
Members include representative officials from: Atkins, Babcock International Group, Birmingham University, Bombardier, British Steel, CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, Colas Rail, Hitachi Information Controls Systems, High Speed Rail Industry Leaders Group, Mechan, Mott MacDonald, Network Rail, NSAR, Perpetuum, Ricardo Rail, Rail Delivery Group, Transport for London, UK Export Finance, Unipart Rail, Rail Supply Group Chairman, Railway Industry Association, Rail Alliance and Government support from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Department for International Trade and the Department for Transport.
